Being tagged as the first immigration musical,  Danny plays Manuel, a widowed tamales seller. He has the touch of a poet, a great listener and connoisseur of life's simple pleasures. “The beautiful “Tamales” sung by Danny Bolero’s Manuel, as he recounts his life with his late wife seen through their preparation of the title dish, is a little gem that could warrant a musical of its own. Hudes’ sensual lyrics and McKeown’s unintrusive score transported me to being five years old in my great-grandmother’s kitchen.” Jose Solis,

LOW TIDE,  starring Jaeden Lieberher, (IT, ST VINCENT).   Point Pleasant, NJ is the backdrop of this coming of age story that follows a group of friends during the hot and hazy summers of vacation.  Danny plays Javier, a kind migrant worker who befriends the the young Lieberher. LOW TIDE is about youth, the infinite summer nights, the first kisses, first beers, first fights that stirs with the undercurrent of danger and adventure, a film described as part GOONIES, STAND BY ME, and THE OUTSIDERS.
